Second chapter I'm on a roll. Well there you go.
Jaxon's POV
The beautiful girl stepped forward to face my father and thats when i saw that she had been badly beaten with bruises on her face. They must have been recently because us Shifters heal quickly. “I’m Alpha Phillips and this is my pack. We were located back up north but we had a battle with the Trident pack but managed to get away,” she said. God, even her voice is sweet, what am i doing i am so distracted i don’t even know what she’s talking about. “Well then dear, you may come on my land until i find what i can do with you,” with that my father lead her pack back towards the house.
Keila P.O.V
“Are you sure about this?” said Matt, my beta. Beta means second in command, he was my father’s second in command too and one of the only men who survived the battle. The battle. I don’t even know how we managed to escape but trust me when i say it came at a price. Right now Alpha Stanton is taking me and my pack up to his house and as you can imagine Matt is not happy. In fact he was extremely paranoid but i just had this feeling, about the Alpha and especially the boy who was with him. Just thinking about him made me weak in the knees, he looked like he could see right through you as he observed the scene before him. We reached the house when i felt a tugging at my tattered shirt. I looked down and saw Jacob, i felt a tug at my heart as i looked down at his mud and tear streaked face. Jacob is the youngest in the pack, he is five years old and has just lost his parents in the battle like most of us had. I picked him up and rested him on my hip as he buried his head in my shoulder and fell asleep.
