Chapter 11 Liverpool
I waddled along the freshly mowed grass. Rex hopping alongside with me. I can't wait! My directions said there was only 15 minutes and I would reach Liverpool. Well... 30 minutes at the least for me! I can't wait! I walked on the grass. Staring ahead off into the distance. The last few minutes of walking was exhausting! I lay down. The blades of grass poke into my back. Rex started barking. Running around in a circle (obviously trying to get my attention) he tapped and wagged his tail for a few minutes. When I didn't take any notice... He jumped on my stomach and gently pulled my shirt. "Rex!" Lazily, I get up and state north. I scream happily and following Rex jump, skip and run to a immense board. Green this time. "LIVERPOOL.. 500M" I sprint ahead and reach... Liverpool! "Just think Rex. My mum is somewhere out there. I've just got to find her." I jog over to the nearest building. It was a small news agents. I step inside. The bell on the top of the door rings. "One minute," somebody called out. I patiently wait and pull out my picture of mum. An old man entered into the room. "Hello darling. What can I get you today?" "Sorry but I don't want anything. I want to ask you something." I ask kindly. "Ok. Spit it out then!" "Do you know this women?" I think I sounded TOO hopeful. He looked at the image. "Who is this women to you?" "Umm... Well she's my biological Mum. I have been living with my adopted family. I came to visit her. But I don't know where she is. I know address is 82 Milton Avenue." "Ahh... Well..." He looks at me right in the eye. "Please?" I nearly cry. "She's the only family I have!" "I can take you down there if you want!" "Really?" He nodded his head. I thank him and we both go outside. The man turns the OPEN sign to CLOSED. he locks the door and shows the way. "Thankyou. I mean it!" "No worries!"
