I look up towards the heavens
Amidst a sky of grey
And ask the eternal question
Why did you go away?
Heavens gained an angel
Yet my life is empty and devoid
Memories flood through my mind
A heart abandoned and destroyed
My eyes have tried through crying
I no longer have the tears
Just a feeling of abandonment
That will last for many years
And now our journey it is over
I guess I will never understand
Why your no longer with us
Did god have this planned?
I take hope we will meet again
Until that day your name lives on
My life will never be the same
