Who's to say who's royal And who's as common as muck? Who's to say who's loyal And who's a clingy, needy mutt? One says that he's a thief, Another a philanthropic Robin Hood. In one culture he's a chief In another just dust, no good. One to says he's a crusader, One who acquires foreign lands, While the other's a ruthless invader Who snatches the worlds mountains and sands. Is one a terrorist Or a freedom fighter? Is one jostling distastefully up social ladders Or simply aiming higher? Is one cold and heartless Or simply rational? Is one too easily marvelled Or simply observant, grateful? Who comes up with these labels, These moral ambiguities? Should we point out these fables Or remain with them at ease? Is society meant to be a grey area, A giant muddy pool, Or should we strive to make it fairer And single out the fools? Is this how we adapt, move forward, Or evolve if you're that way inclined, Or is it that we're not to be called cowards When we let it all slip by? Is clarity a goal we should move towards? Well, why don't you decide?
