Look I know its summer outside
And emotions are flying high,
High and dry
As I stick in your mind
But its winter by my side.
Feel fuzzy on the inside
But that ain't love,
I won't fit like a glove.
You say there's no two year rule
When you're your age and six foot two.
Don't be a fool.
Your too many years young
Do the maths, do the sums,
There's no way it'll work, you'll only come
To harm when we decide to run
Away from it all because it's not any fun.
A bit of sense is what you lack,
Feel like I've Fisher Price slapped on my back
I'm not for kids, not a fun-sized pack.
The amount of stick, the level of flak
When the rest of society decides to attack
Two people together despite the age gap
Will break you in two. You're a delicate soul,
You say a heart still to be whole
And I hold the other half, plug to the hole
Where love's been dripping out. I've told
You I've no interest in your games
Your immaturity. Ever since you came
You've been nothing but trouble a horse to be tamed
And I don't want it, without a doubt it's true!
Oh, what would my mother do?
