I shouldn't dance,
I'm not a mover,
I've been told before
I'm not a groover,
So I just confine it
To my room,
Draw the curtains,
Disco in the gloom.
But I was once to eager
To have a wiggle,
I forgot the blinds
And I felt a niggle
Spreading through me,
From my gut
As I got down to Thin Lizzy
And I shook my butt.
As I turned in puzzlement,
My boogie cut short,
Someone else was there,
An observer of sorts.
Sat in his greenhouse
An elderly neighbour,
Rudely interrupted
In his horticultural labour
By a young girl dancing,
Now ducking out of sight
Scundered! Think I'll just stick
To dancing in the moonlight.
