He throws down the devil On the board as his dice, Doesn't choose black or red Both will suffice. Using clubs, spades and diamonds To win all the hearts And pile them up In his house of cards. Black Jack and White Jack Either side, you can tell. Arms draped round the queens, All held under his spell. Kings in the counting house Keeping books on his dough; Puts Midas to shame, Makes him poor and old. Holds court with the jokers There to keep him sane, He'll take the gamble Again and again. Chips rattle in his fingers, Flushes and ace, So flash and canny, Black silk and lace. Blood pumping, blood running, A Russian roulette. One question to answer Will you take the bet?
