If I can stop one heart from breaking I shall not live in vain. Hope and smiles, A chance to save The person who remains.
If I can stop one tear from falling My spirit will prevail. A gentle touch A soft word, just To cease the sobs and wails.
If I can but accomplish this Before my time is done I'll take Death's hand, And without fuss, Make for eternal Happiness. I shan't have lived in vain.
