2 February 2013
It's that time of year as the snowdrops bloom
When giants unite under banners of yore
And renewed patriotic passion ignites
To fend a handful of nation's glory once more.
Thistle and shamrock and daffy and rose,
The crow of the cockerel and streak of azure,
A clash of the Titans at the age-old call
Of tribal ambitions and rivalries pure.
At the dawn of this age of 2013
We bellow and chant that this year may be green.
