Why's a cup of lazy tea
Christened just as so?
In any case with a lazy cup
You've got farther to go.
Milk each little porcelain cup
And put each teabag in,
Pour over the boiling water
So the infusion begins,
Squeeze each pouch one by one
Squishing out the flavour
Into the milky watery mess;
You're not doing any favours.
Throw each teabag in the bin,
Perhaps stir in some sugar;
Ça depend upon your tastes,
If you're a listener or a groover.
But in the long run all the work
Leaves you quite fatigued
And all the teabags in the world
Won't satisfy your needs,
So really it is probably best
To use the good old teapot
And give up the illusion
A lazy cup's easier. It's not.
