30 June 2012
Sun sets,
Moon-dawn,
Party banter
On and on.
Across the room
A handsome soul,
Once chubby boy
Now twice as old.
Laughing, chatting,
Stars in his eyes,
A life of joy
Picked from the skies.
He'll go on
To be so much more
Than a farming boy
From days of yore.
Not like his brother
He's a scholar, a king
Of science and knowledge
That silage can't bring
And while he recites
His achievements list,
In my corner, I sadly watch,
Such an opportunity I missed.
