Our scars are what define us, The ones we gather on the way, We can either show them Or hide them all away. We can let them destroy us, Or build us up as walls, Or we can look upon them And not be phased at all. We can learn from them Not to touch when we are burnt, Not to play with sharpened knives And just to wait our turn. So, just grin and bear it And show us all your scars, Do not be afraid of them For they are who you are.
