A little dejected and wet; Their pea-green boat Got munched by a goat And they'd got caught in a fisherman's net.
They hadn't found the Fountain of Youth In their race with Captain Jack, They swam home from Tortuga; Feeling like losers They'd come gallumping back.
They resolved to go off again In a brand new sailing vessel But they were low on money (and certainly honey) And their fiver'd been nicked by Old Cecil.
They just had to make do and mend With what they had round the house. They'd a baby's cot That was all they'd got And some planks left by their friend the mouse.
They nailed it together and wrapped themselves up With a life raft for just incasies Went down to the Co To steal food before they'd go And came back with a tonne of strawberry laces.
So the Owl and the Pussycat went back to sea In a patched up infant's crib To find fortune and fame And youth once again Without having to tell any fibs.
