Y'know, just browsing through a few things on here, and the amount of people who don't know how to press that bloody return key is making me insane.

It's not that hard. I just pressed it twice to make this new paragraph!

And twice again! It's maddening.

Another thing is the fact about themes in some stories that don't match up with how people would react in the real world. People try to make fiction using far-fetched ideas.

Yes, use these kinds of ideas. But don't bring them into your characters as well. For example, if you loved someone, but they'd died, you wouldn't go off and then suddenly try to find someone else, would you?

It's little things like this that piss me off. If you're trying to show other people that you can write, don't do amateur mistakes! Read it out to yourself, and if it sounds cheesy, it probably IS cheesy. Re-write it. A couple of seconds won't hurt, and you'll look better as a writer in the long-run!
