'...the Tarmac' shorts were something I came up with some time ago, around the beginning of when I first came into the Opuss community. They weren't based on any particular thing, nor was it resentment to IRL Rena, in case you were worrying about it.

The Tarmac shorts came around when the news of a close friend of mine said that she was leaving for another country halfway across the world. Me, her, Rena and a few others were a circle of close friends, when we were like fourteen years old. Christ, it's feels as if its been years since then. Times fly. But going back to the main topic, I based the shorts on that particular topic, and on her. The resentment shown is real. Unfortunately, the girl I've spoken of did some pretty shocking things, all of which were proven true by her own words. We had felt betrayed by her actions, she having not told us what had happened to her, and not why she hadn't come to any of us for help.

The reason why I decided to create it was because of the same girl, almost exactly one year ago, cutting off all contact to any of us. None of our emails could reach her, and our phone calls were pointless. We did not know why she had done such a thing, or what had caused it to happen.

The shorts was the brainchild of me and Rena, written in anger not long after these events. Whilst dramatised and perhaps the truth had been bended slightly, the work was mostly real events.

The first three shorts are written like texts. The reason because of this is that I myself used to text her a lot. However, the texts weren't as grammatically correct, and more than one swear was omitted.

The final short was created about three weeks ago, when I found myself musing over previous works. When I found the shorts that had been saved on my computer, I decided to recreate all four of them and build a story out of it. It might sound foolish, but it had to be shared.

Thank you for reading all of my stories up until this moment, and I hope you get to enjoy everything in the next coming year. It gives me great pleasure to thank all 60 of you. Thank you very much.
