The Home Route : Part 2

Her steps full of caution, Allie shoved open the rusting gate as the sounds of roaring car engines became muffled by the slow and painful squeal of the decaying gate.
A handful of orange-brown rust crumbled into Allie's delicate hands, staining her palm and leaving a fraction of the old gate bare.
She stumbled in, feeling the gravel crunch under her feet, the leaf piles bustling and the wind rattle through her hollow head that never took information in.
Allie took a jumpy breath as she looked towards the rest of the moonlit park and knew that out there, somewhere was the exit that came out by her small street, the street that made her feel safe.

Hi I'm Amy and I'm probably an average teen. :) I take every opportunity I can to write as I'd quite like to be an author. I don't like to put all my writing up for the public to see though, but I hope you like the things that are here xxx ;)
