Chapter 19
The next thing we did was keeping on driving in silence. We didn't say much. I thought about Cathy and if she was a part of this. Sure she was a friend, no a best friend. But she took John.
" John was with you to get information, when he didn't get some he went to Cathy". He said focused on the road. He drove faster.
" what kind of information?". I asked him, looking at his hand on the wheel. " about me, and your past". He said in a calm voice. How could he be so calm?
We drove on an empty road when something hit the top of the car.
James stopped the car in an instant. " don't get out of here. Stay in the car". He said in a determined voice.
" just stay away from the window". He said and got out of the car.
There he was. John. He was wearing a coat. In the summer. He always walked in that coat.
" isn't it too hot for a coat?". James was teasing him. He walked and stood in front of John. He stood far from him yet near him to stop him from doing any sudden moves.
" I see you brought the girlfriend, what is she pregnant?". He said it with an evil smile. A smile I thought was cute once.
" just shut up and let mark be safe". James said with an angry voice.
" it's not that easy you know, I want her. She loved me once. She used to kiss me and hold my hand". " don't let me come at you!". James said with an angry voice. This time he took a step forward.
" no, you won't cause I will destroy you! See her sitting over there? Yeah she was mine before you came!". John was fighting for me.
I tried not to stop hearing but they stood so far away from the car.
" let us go up there!". James was furious. He was ready to fly. " no, I won't leave her here! I once left her out of my sight and you fell for her". John was smiling as if he is winning this.
I stepped out of the car. I walked and stood in the middle. " I am here to say something to both of you". I couldn't finish what I was going to say
