Chapter 45
It was awkward at first. But the thing that happened afterwards was a thing I wouldn't regret if I was single.
" why are you with him Alice?". He asked me with a worried voice. " he doesn't feel right and I can make you happier. You don't even look happy or rested". He said it and his face came closer to mine.
He held my hand, the same one James held earlier. Then came near my face. He looked me deeply in my eyes and kissed me. It felt like heaven. His lips were so soft and when they met mine I never wanted to stop.
He pulled back and smiled a smile I saw earlier today, he liked me. And I knew that deep inside of me, I liked him back. I even liked him even more.
" I care about you Alice. Please leave that guy". He said and pulled away. Leaving my hand as it was a second ago. I could feel his lips on mine. And I forgot about how I felt when I kissed James.
" I can't, I mean I don't know. I am lost..". I was lost and I told him that. I don't know why I am doing this anymore. I could leave James now and fallow Eric and his family to their destination. They knew me well so they didn't mind.
" you are not ok, what happened?". He asked me when James was back.
" sorry about that, but I was looking in the mirror and I got carried away I guess". James was tiered. His eyes looked that way.
" what were you talking about?". He asked taking his eyes from me to Eric.
" nothing". We both said at the same time. " you know what? I found this great seat over there so I am going to leave you two alone. You are friends you should catch up". James walked away again. And this time I sat on his place, Eric sat on my old seat.
