Chapter 35
We stayed inside. The rain kept on falling and we had nothing to do.
" can I call my parents?". I asked when we sat on the couch. " I don't know. What if they trace the phone call and find you". He said it in a calm voice.
We were sitting in the living room. The black leather couch was nice and comfy. The room had a huge shelf with bunch of books and CDs.
" what happened with your uncle?". I asked. " what". " you said you visited your uncle... How was he?". I asked with a thought running in my head. Was he with his uncle?
" he was fine. He was actually surprised to see me". He said looking at the Window.
I dropped the conversation leaving him alone in the living room.
I walked around in the house. Then I heard a knock on the door. It got stronger. Like if an angry person was trying to start a fight.
" hey". James sounded happy. I walked towards him and saw a boy with an old lady. " Alice, meet my cousin Ryan and my grandma". She was smiling and Ryan who looked like he was 12 said " you look hot!! James nice work". James laughed and so did their grandma.
I stood there wondering if he can talk like that.
" come in". James said. The walked and his grandma said; " this house looks the same". She said. She was wearing a dress with flowers on it. Pink ones. She wore her hair in a ponytail and her yellow hair didn't look colored.
" Ryan go talk with Alice so you can know each other a bit better". He said that to Ryan with a calm voice.
Ryan was tall. But not too tall. He was wearing a t-shirt and dark jeans. His blue eyes studied me very carefully.
" hi, how old are you?". I asked him. We stood in the kitchen while James was with his grandma in the living room.
