Chapter 5
The streets were empty. Old people walked their dogs. Cars drove by. It was an ordinary Tuesday . I walked beside James. I didn't care much about speaking. I thought of what happened yesterday.
" why did you leave so early last night?" I stopped We were near the lake. The water glittered by the sun and the sky was so blue. " I didn't want to- no, I just- something came up ok?" he didn't know what to say. He didn't tell me the truth.
" I have a question, have we ever met before?" my question was stupid to me. Because I have never met him, yet I asked him. He seemed familiar. " no, I don't know you- I mean I haven't met you before." he wasn't telling the truth. " you allways hide stuff from me". " what? Allways? We barley know each other. And you tell me this!"
It was strange. I knew him. He was a part of me. I remembered him. But I didn't know how. I didn't even know why.
" I am sorry" he said in a low voice. Stupid tears started to fall down my cheeks and I whipped the with the back of my hand.
" I have no idea you remember" he said in a calm voice. " remember what?" what was he talking about. " can't tell you" he took a step and gave me a hug.
" you will find out one day, till then, you have to keep this a secret ok?" What secret was he talking about? " I don't understand, I came here to get away and now you tell me to keep a secret! I don't know you, you are a person I might have-" while I said this he was standing in front of me. But I got interrupted by his kiss. He kissed me in the middle of my words. His lips were soft and for a second I thought of how his kisses never changed.
" you are confused, that's all. Yes we have met before, no you don't remember. Yes we have to keep this a secret. And no, don't worry I will be with you." his words were sweet. He touched his hair and said " there is nothing to worry about as long as I am with you"
" when? When have we met?" I wanted to know. " can't tell you. But me and you fall in love with each other every time we met"
" what are you an angel?" I asked as a joke but his face didn't make an emotion. He stood still and gave me a cold look.
Then he went the same road back to school.
