Chapter 54
We walked down to the restaurant. It was close to the hotel and it was a fancy one.
" wow, James you didn't have to do this..". I said while we sat down. It was a nice Italian restaurant. With wine bottles on shelves and nice light all over the place. Many couples were eating here.
We got the menus and ordered pasta salads. We started to talk about stuff but I noticed him not taking his eyes of me.
" what do you think about clowns?". He asked me while I ate a piece of chicken.
" scary, weird and not very happy when the show is over". I said and we both laughed. Then we looked at each other. Deep in the eyes. It was such a lovely moment, I wanted him so bad.
When we finished and went outside he gave me his jacket cause it was colder. His jacket smelled like perfume and I took it in.
We walked hand in hand all the way. Then I realized we were not going back to the hotel.
We walked on a bridge. I looked at the stars and the boats with the lights shining from the windows.
I saw the stars in the sky and I turned around to face James.
" nothing is as beautiful as you tonight". He said while he had his arms around my waist. "I didn't know you planed this, James thank you". I said and then we started to kiss.
As we kissed the sky turned red, blue, yellow and as may colors fireworks can be. We stopped and looked at them. Then we faced each other and smiled.
" happy birthday Alice". He said while looking me in the eyes. " it's my birthday?!". I asked with a surprised voice.
" yeah, you are 16 now baby". He said and we started to laugh at that. How could anyone forget their birthday?
