Chapter 4
I payed and got out of the gas station. And there he was. Standing in front of my car. He just stood there while eating his apple. I walked to the car, opened the door and stopped. I looked at him cause he was looking at me and every movement I made.
" hey, where are you going". His question made me look in his eyes and not smile. I didn't care how hot he was. He was a stranger with no car as I saw.
" where is your car?". He stopped chewing and I saw him swallow that apple bite. " I don't have one, I got a lift by my sister. Then she got sick of me talking so she left me. Can't you see I am standing here alone". He smiled and I couldn't help smiling back. His sister tricked him and left him. In the middle of the night.
I thought about it, but no. I sat in my car. He knocked on the window to the seat next to me. " what?". I asked. I wanted to get to that house cause I was a bit tiered. " what's your name?". " Lisa". I said getting a bit annoyed over him taking my time. " Lisa, my name is Jake. I asking you for help. Can you drive me to the nearest town?". I thought about it. The nearest town was the town I was going to. But I barley knew him.
" I will not talk. I will not ask questions and I am not a pervert". He said as he drank his coffee. If I said no, I would feel bad. I wanted to help him but a stranger in my car. In the night. It was something I wouldn't say yes to. But I was 17 and the town was 40 minutes away. " get in, but if you go anything I will leave you like your sister". U said while he got in. " thanks, I won't do anything. But one thing". I started the engine and turned to him. " what is it?". I said with a smile. I wasn't mad or anything but he wanted to talk. " can I drink my coffee?". " yes you can". And we both laughed.
