Chapter 24
I sat next to him. I took a quick look at the bag. It was closed. I looked at him and said. " are you okey?". He wasn't, yet I asked him. He looked up. Wiped his eyes, they were tiered and he gave me a fake smile. " no, please I will tell you later. Just... I am so sorry for treating you that way. For screaming at you and for hiding stuff". I touched his hair with my fingers. It was so soft.
" my private school.. They always make those big deals. I promise I will tell you when I can". His voice was bad but he wasn't crying anymore. " I will wait, even though I am trying not to hurt you. I am sorry for pushing you". I put my head on his shoulder. I closed my eyes and felt his arm around me. " it's going to be ok". He whispered. I wished it was true.
I don't know what happened afterwards. It was midnight when I woke up. We slept. When I woke up I was still in his arm. The bag was on the floor. It fell down I guessed. It was too hot to sleep in clothes. He was a bit warm. I walked away. Leaving him sleeping there.
He was Jake. A guy who ran away from his private school. He ran away for a reason. And the cause was too big for him to tell. I wasn't sure why I kept on holding on to him. But then I forgot myself.
I turned to look at him. My heart beats. The were fast. I was falling for him. I knew it was not time to think about it. But I had work later. He obviously, if I was right. He might have feelings for me. Much more than just liking me. I walked to my room. Took of my clothes and went to sleep.
