NOTE: This little story is the prequel to my very first Opuss "Tattoo." I think it's also my best. Please read "Tattoo" before reading this.
"You have to." Mullki told her. "But... But... It will be so hard." the girl said. "But think, once you have done this you will get a name, whatever you wish, and you will no longer be a mortal. You will finally become a member of the Black Cat Legacy." Mullki said. The girl sighed. It is what she had always wanted, to be a member of the Black Cat Legacy. She had wanted this her entire life. But now that it was time, she wasn't so sure. "The second part will be the hardest. Mortals tend to become suspicious when you ask them for strange things like that tattoo. The first part just tests your strength." "Oh. Ok." The girl said. She was not acting like herself. She is normally so lively and sarcastic but today... She was just so nervous... "Alright your first task... Hmmm. Oh! I know! Go over there and punch Slafkiti!" "NO WAY!" Slafkiti is basically just a big ball of muscle with a temper. He will pretty much attack anyone who does anything, to kinda annoy him. Pick a fight with him.... The girl shudders just thinking about it. "Punch him, run, jump over the Abyss and grab the little pole hanging above the Abyss. Hold on to that for thirty seconds and your done!" Mullki looks excited and smiles at the girl. "Ready?" "Um...." She is very frightened. "Hang over the abyss?" She thinks. "That's just... Insane!!!" But she knows she has to do it. She needs to become a member of the Black Cat Legacy. "Go!" She doesn't hesitate, just runs over and punches Slafkiti as hard as she could. He turns around, his face red and she runs, dodging a punch that could have killed her and with the ever so slightest hesitation leaps over the Abyss. She snatches the bar hanging above it and sighs in relief. The tension in her muscles disappears and she just hangs there. Even though this would be hard for most it's easy for her. Especially compared to what she just did. That jump- and with someone like THAT chasing her... Wow. Slafkiti gave up, as he usual does when his victims become out of reach. The thirty seconds are over and the girl swings herself off the pole and onto sod ground. "That looked easy!" Mullki shouts! The girl just gave her the sink-eye. "Seriously, that was pretty damn cool! I don't know many that could pull that off. And part one is over! Are you ready for part two?!" Mullki looks excited and happy. "I guess." the girl was in a bit of shock, as one may imagine because of what she just went through. But, she has heard about the mortal test and the Tattoo so many times, and she is just SO ready that she walks out the portal and into the mortal world.
Note: For some reason, this story was so, so difficult to write and I am not quite sure it will live up too it's companion "Tattoo." Feedback would be nice, as I'd love to know if the 55hrs at my desk I spent on this. And this is a first draft btw! Pls FEEDBACK! Thx
