Just the other night I held you
Tight in my arms and wrapped my
Hands around your waist and
Stroked the curves of your face. And
Just the other night your hair
Tickled gently on my neck as I
Wondered how we met and
Forgot all I knew to regret. And
Just the other night my fingers
Twined with all yours and our
Hearts were open doors and
I'd forgotten all my sores.
Just the other night I held you
High in esteem, for I knew that with
Waking we'd be just a dream,
Just a beautiful, hazy dream.
