No superpowers does he possess,
He's just Average Joe, I will confess.
No superhero costume, or laser from eye,
He ain't immortal, he can die.
All he has is a kindness of heart,
That, you know, was just the start.
A burning house, adrenaline,
Just one step from diving in.
She grabbed his shirt, and told him "NO!",
He ripped it off "LET ME GO!"!
He heard the screams of his little girl,
She was his daughter, she was his world.
Battling through the awful heat,
With his death, would he meet?
Into his daughter's room he burst,
Here the fire was at its worst.
His daughter passed out on the floor,
Pick her and carried her through the door.
He couldn't breathe, could not inhale.
His resolve began to fail.
If only he could make it out,
Needs air soon or he'll pass out.
Collapsed by the door,
A second before.
Dragged out by the firemen,
Won't do that again.
In a coma in hospital, though,
This is the urban superhero.
