When far enough becomes Too far When a hero becomes Society's whipping boy
Well watch out Fate already called dibs Pushed from the moment of birth Never knowing just what A true statement is
Betrayed so intimately The pain doesn't even register Until the adrenalin calms Then rages so deeply Even the sadness is dulled
When does far become too far When is enough too much Just pushing And pushing
It's never letting go It's holding on by the skin of your teeth It's buckling down and realizing that enough is far too much That far is far enough
Fate's whipping boy is cursed Cursed to live Cursed to remember And fate herself laughs
Because heroes aren't always praised And the road to hell is paved With good intentions.
