Avoid the rush, avoid the crush Get out shopping now Don't put it all on the never never Or you'll pay for it somehow
Buy in January when the sales are on Be prepared for next year Who cares if it's last years toy No one will shed a tear
Better still just wrap up a box That's what they'll play with on the day Get out last years unwanted stuff Recycle and give it away
Baa humbug, grumpy old men Is that what you think The kids want everything iPad and the kitchen sink
Gather round the festive table Uncle Albert at your side You haven't seen him since last Christmas Thought he may have died
Christmas carols everywhere Noddy on constant replay Who cares if "IT'S CHRISTMAS !!" His royalties certainly pay
Tis the season to be jolly Let commercialism have its way You don't need to spend lots of money To have a wonderful Christmas Day
