A Distant Sonnet

The tide reflects my love for you
Flowing back and forth through time
The moonlight skims the water anew
An effervescent wave to climb

The sand beneath my feet, water lapping at my toes
Your endearing words still remain
Whispered in the cool wind that blows
Until I see your face again
So far away is your distant embrace
My love will never fade
For all too soon I shall see your face
Through the sun and the rivers glade

Yet still the tide ebbs and flows
As the wave of love for you doth shows.

Sonnet For Autumn

Oh Autumn, how the trees do weep for you, Each falling leaf a tear for the cold, Torn from branches for a cause that is true, To mourn the lateness of a year grown old.

For Her (extended)

#opussweeklychallenge. (I have no idea if this fits as a sonnet???). For her I'd walk on withered blistered feet. And fight the weather the wind and the snow. If at the end of this walk we shall meet.
