Like shower mist, I saw you Going up and down my stairs Clutching an old '45 And a bobby pin in your hair
The first time I saw you It was Novembers first frost You didn't frighten or alarm me As you looked so sad and lost
You went through my wall Where the door used to be And stood by the television What you did I couldn't see
Then you'd turn around With the '45 still in your hand I tried to see who it was by Which singer or what band
Many times I saw you At the same time each day Always looking at your record Expecting it to play
So when I worked out who it was I downloaded that tune So when you stood by the television It would start to play "Blue Moon"
This time you didn't turn around But stood there and swayed I wondered if you were smiling While the music went on and played
I never saw you again But one day while taking a shower I swore I saw 'thank you' written On the bathroom mirror with a flower.
