Didn't know how to do it, didn't think they cared
His mum said "Tom why do you look so sad?" "Surely there's nothing in this world that bad?"
He kept his silence and eventually He told her that they were all climbing the tree
Surely that's fun, and you shouldn't be down But he said he couldn't do it, feared he'd look like a clown
Ask them for help, they wont laugh at you boy Watch how they do it don't stand and be coy
So that very next day that's just what he did And he climbed and he climbed, her brave little kid
No longer was he sad and feeling left out He was a tree climbing expert for that there was no doubt
