9 December 2012
I've escaped for the afternoon, The in laws are driving me mad; They sit and watch hours of TV, It's anti social and bad.
Father in law is old school, A women's place is by the sink; Hasn't budged from the sofa since he got here, Except to get another drink.
The mother in law is normally fab, But she's irritating me too; Pandering after her not so little boy, Instead of her grandchildren of two.
Even with an extra two adults, To help in the house; I'm still running after everyone, But I can't stay as quiet as a mouse.
So I've run away with the baby, Can't remember the excuse; I'm holed up in a garden centre from hell, Filled with mucho Christmas produce,
There's lights, lights everywhere; Trees that cost too much; Little light up villages, Traditional, decorations and such.
I've been waiting so long in the queue, Just to get a cup of tea; My hair has gone snow white, And has grown down to my knees!
It's commercialism gone mad, But the real reindeers are good; Better get back soon, Or the other half will be in a mood.
They've gone out for Sunday lunch, At least I won't have to cook tea; Another class night ahead of me, Sitting watching TV!
