After writing my little ditty the other day called "That awkward moment when..." It got me thinking that everyone on here is so nice, supportive and encouraging, with the occasional odd or negative comments being left sometimes. Sometimes justified in past history and sometimes not.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm sure we're all here to grow as writers, try something different or find inspiration where once there was none.

Like many stories I've read here I haven't written since I was at school, numbers was always my thing, so I'm glad I found this app for me to give it a go too. But..... I digress.

What I'm trying to say is I want to grow as a writer, be challenged, find room for improvement. I'm happy for folk to leave 'constructive' criticism, or suggestions on how to better a piece of writing.

Also ... That awkward moment when you read something and it just doesn't flow or make sense and its had no likes, is everyone thinking the same thing? Instead of liking should we be putting polite suggestions to the author? I don't know, but I'm just putting it out there to see what you all think. Especially as we know there are a lot of young writers on here. Maybe encouragement and positive critique would encourage 'creative' writing, rather than just status posts, if you get my drift. I know we are not all expert writers here but there is certainly a lot of talent that should be utilised.

So is it good to critique or not?

What are your thoughts everyone? Thought we should gauge reaction from this post.
