As we walk through busy streets or open country lanes Thousands of faces we see, that we don't even know their names

Are they missing, did they feel they didn't belong? Is someone waiting for them, wondering what went wrong?

Hundreds of thousands of names on the register each and every year Friends and family in limbo, searching, dreading their worst fear

I see a young face and wonder are they looking for you What is your story, what did they make you do?

A man on the street, was it the financial strain Now your wandering, homeless in the rain

What of those waiting, powerless, for any information The thought you are forever gone, such emotional devastation

The years pass by one after another Can you make that call, to the sister or mother?

250,000 go missing year on year For each and every one, a loved ones tear

Tia Sharp I hope you will not be another statistic. I pray you'll be home soon X
