Hairy and Mary Fairy were jumping with giddy excitement. Time to get writing they thought But on the way back to their little, homely, burrow Something peculiar on Mary's foot caught
It was Sid the snake, slithering sneakily around her foot "I see you've taken some punctuation from my cave" "I have something else for you two Something you perhaps may crave"
The fairies looked at each other with Puzzlement abound Sid the snake just slithered on the stony ground
"I have alliteration which will help you on your way Igniting your story with sounds at play"
"Oh my that's sounds wonderful And can bring our stories to life" Sid slithered away stealthy Off to meet his wife
They continued on their merry, happy way Discussing their fabulous, fantastic, fresh ideas When out popped Simon Simile They hadn't seen for years
He was as cute as a kitten And he had been as busy as a bee But as bold as brass said "you two I'm so happy to see!"
"I hear your on a mission to beat the elves" Simon Simile said "Be as cool as a cucumber and brave like a lion" All off the top of his head
"Wow Simon, we really are impressed" Mary Fairy exclaimed "There'll be no stopping us now" Hairy Fairy proclaimed
So they had a thesaurus to discover other words They had adjectives to describe the beautiful birds They had punctuation to make their stories make sense. The had structure for the beginning, the middle and ends They now had alliteration to add special sound Just like Sid the snake slithering on the ground Simon Simile had donated from his page At last they thought, the world is like our big story stage.
