Sometimes Im so busy That I don't even have time To change my mind Caught up in the cycle of living and all of its daily grind
Sometimes I just need to Slow myself right down Savour the moment Before the walls of my mind come Tumbling down
The modern pace of life Is just too fast If I'm not careful Smelling the flowers while I can Won't last
Our green and pleasant land I want to enjoy A moment of peace and Tranquility with my Little girl and big boy
Always in a rush in an electronic age Not enough hours In every single day
Gadgets to help us Save more and more time Gadgets to remind us with a ding or a chime
Technology constantly glued to our hands Making it easy for us to miss those moments and memories Words written in the sand
Have we all forgot The art of conversation Put away the gadgets Free your mind and find liberation
Sometimes I wish time Would stand so still To catch up on myself Forget the constant Battle uphill
Maybe I can take off my watch When I retire No need to time keep When there is no connecting wire
