What was I thinking? Just one more beer would be ok The glorious winter sun was shining When in Rome as they say
The mountains were spectacular The snow heavenly under foot Conversation was flowing Before we tightened our boots
Just one last run from top to bottom To finish off the day Skis back on, traverse to the lift Let's have a race way hey!
On top of the world There is no other feeling quite like this Taking in the sweeping panoramic beauty Then a wink and a kiss
Away we go scraping the mountain What an adrenalin rush We ski down the valley Avoiding the ice and the slush
At last we're near the bottom And he goes into top gear I struggle to keep up with him And forget about my fear
I didn't see it coming The little mogul in my way I was blinded by my glasses Everything a shade of grey
I hit it with such a speed I catapulted up in the air Landed rather heavily With absolute no grace or flair
The cracking sound reverberated When I hit the ground I sat there for several minutes Before I was found
Complete and utter madness That was what it was I'll never drink and ski again Because of what it does
