They're not ghouls they're not witches They're not even spirits lost in time They're just evil individuals That commit this hideous crime
The witching hour, the sleepy hour The hours between twelve and three They'll come trying your doors and windows Hoping you forgot to turn that key
They enter your home without being invited And take what's not theirs to take They look at all your personal belongings Your house they intend to rape
Once they've done, maybe just for fun They'll leave a present or two For you to find when you wake up Like a sign saying 'screw you'
They are evil, they are scum They have no remorse for their act But they leave a trail of devastation Your personal space no longer intact
Your left to pick up the pieces And replace what's been taken The police know exactly who it is But somebody will say they're mistaken
If it goes to court at you the taxpayers expense Will you at last see justice served? No doubt they had mitigating circumstances And they won't get what they deserved
You've been violated in your own home You no longer feel safe and sound The witching hour provided cover For an evil that makes no sound.
So they're free to walk the streets again With a smile upon their face Maybe on All Hallows, the real dwellers of the night Will remove them without a trace.
