Before I lay me down to sleep I pray the lord my soul to keep
Because I've been here once before When I came knocking on your door
Excitedly I said "Trick or treat!" You just laughed at me in the street
Because of you I turned and went My Halloween cheer gone and spent
I left my friends and walked home alone Battery dead on my phone
I never made it, because of you So I've come back for trick or treat two
You didn't see me or hear me laugh As I left a trail of sweets on your garden path
Now I watch you close your eyes Hiding in the corner wearing my disguise
Treats are not, what I have in store for you It's vengeful tricks that you are due
I've changed my mask, soon you'll see But for now I'll watch, as you sleep easy
I am a ghost of Halloween past I'll not be the first and won't be the last
