Ok so as I'm in off on my travels again, apart from reading all your lovely work it would be nice to set a new challenge of sorts.
No winners, no losers, just good thinking and writing, for both the young and old (er). No closing dates either.
We all have a hero or heroine we look up to and respect. I know I have many, Martin Luther King, John Lennon, Marilyn Monroe, Mo Mowlan, Jane Tomlinson, Arthur Miller.... The list goes on and they are just the modern ones, never mind historical figures.
The challenge is to write a piece short story or poem or just a blog, but it must be succinct, on just ONE hero. Could be political, poet, musical, film, sporting etc. Its hard to pick just one and include eg:
Why you picked them What they've done to inspire you What impact they've had on you as a person.
To make it more interesting you could or could not tell us who it is, so we have to guess.
Also it doesn't matter if someone you choose has already been chosen by someone else. They may be your hero for different reasons.
