The upstairs of our house had three large bedrooms and a washroom with an old metal bathtub (Mr Tub) Mr Tub stood alone on his own four feet, which looked like human feet, our house wasn't like any ordinary house, the other buildings in the nearby town were made from wood, ours was brick, although all the furniture appeared ordinary they all had some form of modification making our furniture very unique to the contents of other houses around us. Mr tub for example only had 1 tap for cold water and an extendable shower hose, which wasn't obscure, and okay… his feet were kind of different and cool, but there were these glowing indigo buttons on the side of Mr Tub that bleeped at the slightest touch, now this wasn't ordinary, I hadn't seen this at any other houses in the town. I would amuse myself in my earliest years touching the buttons and hearing Mr Tub say my name in a very aristocratic and bizarrely human voice "Adam", bleep "Adam", bleep "Adam" at first my Dad would find this funny then he taught me to just press it the once. No water would come from Mr Tub's tap until I would press the button. Mr Tub would gush out water until announcing the water's temperature, the volume of water in the bath followed by a pleasant notification "Adam you're desired bath is ready…enjoy" his tone was cool and relaxing, perfect for announcements. The master Bedroom, Mum and Dad's room was like a fairy tale palace, which meant Mum had decorated and designed this room and I think Dad didn't mind as he always called mum princes and treated her much the same, I think he understood that this was Mum's place of tranquillity her boudoir and Dad knew that when Mum was happy he was happy. I would always walk into their bedroom sucking in the mild scent of vanilla and cinnamon through my nose, gently stomping barefooted so I could feel the soft, thick, furry, glacier white carpet between my toes then I would shuffle past their giant oak four post bed avoiding the temptation to belly flop onto it. Their bed was the bed of dreams gloriously shrouded by semi transparent silken drapes hanging down from every side. I would navigate through the French windows leading to their balcony outside. In the winter at nighttimes I could see all the lights in the nearby town lighting up like hundreds of little fireflies.

My room was fairly simple, I had a large bed that would be just above floor level, and was kind of built into the floor so I could just walk over to it and flop over or roll onto it, Mr Snooze as I called him also had a control panel like Mr Tub, I can remember spending hours playing with all the buttons on Mr Snoozes control, Raising, lowering the bed level, activating the music, setting the sleep temperature adjusting the softness. Mr Snooze would call out all the functions as I messed around with them, his voice was a little different from Mr Tub, he had a deeper more monotone voice, perfect for sleeping.

I also had my wardrobe Mr Tailor, and a big wooden oak toy chest. My room appeared to be larger than my Mum & Dad's, but that may be because it was virtually empty. I had no playthings, just a huge collection of stuffed furry animals, monkeys, tigers, snakes, eagles and so on. I was obsessed with animals and would always mimic their behaviour. I'm sure if I would have asked for toys I would have got them, I was far too fascinated with the world I lived in that I didn't have time for toys, I would watch other children play with their toys repeating the same movements over and over again, not me I was free to run, jump spin, climb, play, hide and pretty much anything my small supple body would allow.
