After learning all kinds of things about birds, insects, plants and what not with uncle Pete We all played hide and seek in the adventure playground.
Later that evening we all sat down for dinner. As mum was serving up all our scrumptious food uncle Pete asked "So little man how was your market trip with your mum?"
There was a freeze frame moment again... All eyes directing straight at uncle Pete. As he glanced round the room he frowned mouthing the words "what" as he shrugged. "it was ok" I replied just as the role camera button must have been pushed everyone carried on. I filled uncle Pete in on the whole thing with the girl at the market, to which he pacified me " aaah yes the old ringing in the ears, I get that sometimes - they say it's to do with air pressure" and he went on to explain about the biology of ears and atmospheric pressure. Which made me giggle as the faces of Mum, Dad and uncle John told a different story.
Maybe if I never heard them deliberating I wouldn't have questioned uncle Pete's explanation.
We talked and played card games, pairs and snap until my tiredness took over. "I'll take him to bed Ange, Adam would you like the daddy express?"
Everything was normal "yep" I replied as I jumped on my dad's back he took me round to give everyone a hug and a kiss, then he marched towards and up the stairs making steam train noises. Once upstairs he gently lowered me to Mr snooze I could see his usual calm and loving face, he smiled, gave me a hug then pressed a button on Mr snooze, who came to life narrating "it's story time Adam" I could feel my eyes become heavy as Mr Snooze started with its story "Genesis 1..."
