The ground absorbs the tears so red Feed and help grow the flower bed Of where I wish to be right now How my mother would stand and frown.

At the sight, of my skin so pale As my body is cold and frail She tries to bring colour to my hand A moment of silence at her demand.

When will I see her eyes open again If any hope will still remain The sparkle lost in the river of tears None of her happiness reappears.

For I am not in front of her, Though how I wish I were The water pounds against my head I become still; frozen, dead
