I need her to stay safe,I want her to never let go,
But my sweet child, confidence comes as you grow,
It means eventually, no matter how hard I try,
We won't ride the horses, and she'll ask 'why?'
Round and round they jump and prance,
But no-one knows that through their dance,
A prayer sang for the children on the ride,
A melody to muffle how they cried.
Can't you see, as clear as through my eyes
Their tales of happiness are all lies,
Watch as the painted ribbons of red,
Twist and twine, to the dragon's head.
Round and round they jump and prance,
But no-one knows that through their dance,
A prayer sang for the children on the ride,
A melody to muffle how they cried.
She lets go, I screech in fear
For only I know her end is near,
Helplessly I search, but know she is gone,
And frightfully, she's not the only one.
Round and round they jump and prance,
But no-one knows that through their dance,
A prayer sang for the children on the ride,
A melody to muffle how they cried.
They begin to spin, I watch in hope,
But already the ribbon has ripped their throats,
His jaw opens to consume their fears,
Leaving a stage, drowning in red tears.
My task complete, I am now free,
For now my child, you are me,
Live your life in hope to find
A child, to feed him an unconscious mind.
