I looked at him, stunned at what he just said. A tear escaped my eye. "How did this happen?" I asked.

"When we came for back up we found you a few yards away from the cafe, knocked out and debris on top of you, we all thought you wouldn't make it."

" So when the ambulance came and took you away we started looking for Jake."We found Jake under the counter top of the cafe, crushed and a bullet in his head from the man. Our prediction was the man pulled out a bomb before, and the whole place blew into bits." I just listened, stunned at what I just heard. " I'm really sorry Sara." He said to me. " It's my fault, I yelled, standing up. " I should've stayed and shot the man when Jake told me to go." I held my face in my hands. " He was my best friend." I looked at my manager in tears. He gave me a tissue. " Thanks" I said. " The funeral for Jake is on Saturday." He said.

" Go get some rest, and we will talk in Sunday. " "Okay" I said and walked out. Outside, a storm was rolling in and the sun covered by gray clouds. I walked home, needing some fresh air. When I got home, I sat down on my light brown couch and turned on the tv. The news was on. I looked closer and saw the cafe into parts. I turned the tv off immediately. I cried myself to sleep that night, holding a picture of Jake and I.
