I whirled round, scanning the area for that familiar face. For a moment I thought I saw him but when I went to take a second look there was nothing there. I sighed, accepting defeat and wandered back into the stadium. I sat in my seat and tried my hardest to be absorbed in the game but I was far too distracted. I looked to the screens to find some form of entertainment, then I saw him. In the top corner of the camera I saw him and I swear he winked right at me. I was staring, wide eyed, at the screen when the image flashed away from him onto another couple. Just then my phone buzzed inside my jeans pocket. I pulled it out and opened up the message. There were no words only ;), a winky face. I didn't know where he was in the stadium but he knew where I was and he was almost certainly watching me. I stood up, gathering my bags, trying to make my actions as obvious as possible and walked down the stairs that led towards the exit.

I looked up briefly and saw movement at the opposite side of the stadium. Someone else was walking down the stairs towards the exit. I couldn't see what they looked like but I was almost certain that it was him. I quickened my pace and burst out of the exit door. I relaxed and enjoyed the cool air around me. I realised how close I was to having a panic attack and vowed to not get so worked up. If I was going to pull this off I needed a cool head. Suddenly one hand flew around my mouth and the other around my waist, pulling me backwards. I struggled to get out of the iron grasp and when that failed I picked my feet up and made myself as heavy as possible. I wasn't dropped. The hand around my waist snaked further across me and pressed me closer into their body.
