The creaking vessel swayed horribly in the mountainous waves that were now forming. The noise of the pirates' shouting and ocean crashing filled my ears and overwhelmed me. Salty ocean spray washed into my mouth and stung in my eyes, but I remained deathly still with a cloudy, distant gaze and one word whispered from my lips. Peter. I found myself quite numb to my surroundings and unable to move. Filthy, savage crew members jeered and jabbed their bloodstained swords and rusted daggers at me from all directions. John and Michael screamed relentlessly in the cruel arms of their captures, begging me to save them. Waves collided violently with the boat which threatened to dissolve into the ocean at any moment. But I saw none of this. I was vaguely aware of the Captain's hook clenched fiercely around my neck, dragging me through the jeering crowd and leading towards the plank where my doom awaited me. Before doing so, he harshly threw me against the ship's wooden mast and I saw his eyes flash with rage, hatred, and sudden hesitation all at once. "One last chance, Wendy, my love," he growled into my ear. "You can still save yourself. Stay with me and become a pirate. Either way your little pixie friend Peter is dead! Do you hear? He's dead! Gone! Forever lost as he should be! Dead where he belongs!". Dead? No. No, no, no. My heart sank in terror. In response, I uttered the only word that came to me. "Peter..."
