Chapter 3 ~ A new hobby

Jun Hae's soft hand is gentle and smooth, kind of baby-like. It feels weird to describe his hand like this but it is kind of warm.

When we reach his room I turn my attention to the door I curiously opened just now.

"Jun Hae, what's in that room?"

"Oh, that room?" he walks to the door and opens it, "I'll show you."

Before I enter Jun Hae quickly rushes to the pieces of scrunched papers on the ground and throwing them in the dustbin.

"Sorry for the mess." he says, laughing.

I laugh along with him, "It's no problem Jun Hae."

I look at the beautiful White drawing board and there's a bunch of piled sketches of body structures. They all look really well-drawn and I feel a little envious but a whole lot curiouser.

Then I find a little specific type of drawing well-drawn but still unfinished.

The body structure and the face and style of the hair seems a little familiar.

Wondering who drew this I ask Jun Hae, "Jun Hae, who drew this?"

Looking at Jun Hae he stands stiff when I asked. He is quite embarrassed and a little shaky, "Oh, that drawing," he manages a smile, he's forcing his smile, I can see it.

"Jun Hae did I say something wrong?" I feel a little guilty.

"I'm fine." he says, smiling and finishing cleaning up.

He walks towards me and looks at the drawing, "Oh yeah that." he takes it away from my hand and places it in one of the cupboards. "I drew it."

My eyes widens in shock. "You did all of this drawings?"

He looks down modestly, "Yeah but some my brothers drew."

"When did you start to draw-sorry, I mean in middle school you didn't draw a lot and you kept saying you're a bad drawer." I didn't understand.

"Yeah I know. I took some classes but I'm only good at body structures."

"But what about that drawing with the face and hair."

"Oh that, you will know soon."

"I see."

He smiles brightly at me and he takes a chair beside his arm chair and pats it telling me to sit.

He sits at his arm chair and takes a piece of white paper while I sit on the other chair pulling it closer to the table.

Jun Hae takes a normal mechanical pencil and starts to draw. "I'm not that good. I only draw body structures. It's a start. But you're better than me." he modestly admits.

When he starts to draw I quickly notice how light his hand is and how flawless the lines look is just so professional. I take a closer look.

Jun Hae smiles as he draws while he talks to me, "I don't know how I became attached to drawing but it's a new hobby of mine." he exclaims.

"A new hobby huh?" I smile feeling so proud of him. "That's really great."

He finishes it in ten minutes and gently blows the tiny pencil dust off.

However even the drawing didn't make him happy. "Jun Hae are you okay?"

He mutters a laugh, "It seems my drawing seems kind of empty. There's no face, eyes and all those stuff. I wanted my drawing to be full of life. So..." he turns to me. "Can you teach me how to draw those features for my drawings?"

It is so sudden, the request. But how can I deny him? He wants to draw a person and the only thing he can draw is the human body structure figure, even if how he draws is really pro, he still wants to bring it to life and it's really nice and beautiful for someone like him to think that. I want to help him...
