'Then, go ahead and open it!' Kelly said. 'It says not to open it until I'm twelve,' I mumbled. 'You are twelve, you ding-dong! Go on! I double triple DARE you to!' I looked at the box, one eyebrow up, one down. 'Are you sure? I mean, there could be ANYTHING in there!' 'Yes! JUST DO IT!!!'
I forced my hand on to the box and lifted the small lid. Tina came in again and asked if she could borrow Kelly. My hand gradually slid off the box lid and on my lap. Kelly stood up and walked out the room. 'Show me what's in there when I get back, ok? Bye,' She grinned. I slowly bit me lip, biting my words back and turning my head to the old, dusty, brown box. My heart skipped a beat. But I repeated the routine in my head I made up, and thought it out and did exactly what I thought. Hand out, reach for box. Grab box, bring box forward. Blow on box to make clean, read what box says. Put hand on lid, open box?.. I didn't do the last part until I hid under the bed with a small torch.
The box said; CAUTION: Only open this box if your Rebeca Element and you are 12 years old or more. Otherwise, you must leave this box alone for safety reasons. I was Rebeca Element. And I was twelve years old. My thumb landed on the side of the lid, and slowly pulled it up... ZAP!! It scanned my face and body. What on earth? It soon zoomed back in. An electronic security box! How awesome is that? It opened up all by itself and showed what was hidden inside this cool brown, metal electronic box.
I glared inside and there was a note that said; Dear Rebeca, Your finally old enough to know who you really are and why your here and even what happened to us. When you take this note out of this box, you will realise there are 10 books. Read there titles and read the one that says "Why I'm here", then the one that says "What happened to my parents" then the other brown books. Then read the other 4 different books, you will know what they mean once you've read the book you must read last which is called "Who I Really Am". You even have your own symbol that turns you into a special someone you will find out who in the "Who I Really Am" book. The other electronic device there is your transportation portal device, you will learn more about in the "Who I Really Am" book. There are many chapters for the "Who I Really Am" book, and same for the different colour books. In the different colour books are symbols too. Give these to the special people who are written in the "Who I Really Am" book. Read these carefully sweetheart. Keep this box in a safe place and don't tell anyone about it unless their full name is written in the "Who I Really Am" book. Stay safe, my darling and take care. Mum xx
