Kelly was gone for ages, and shall I tell you why? Because she was actually told she was going to be adopted by the Richardson family! I was still under the bed, gasping at the note from my mum until I heard a skip coming up the corridor. I instantly put the note back inside the box and shut it. I hid it under my bed where I kept my diary which Kelly didn't know about. 'I'm getting adopted, I'm getting adopted!' Kelly sang with glee as she stepped into the dorm. My head peered round from under the bed and smiled. Kelly skipped up to my bed and sat on it and glared down at me, grinning. 'Congratulations, Kelly!' I said, feeling happy for her. 'So what was in the box?' Kelly asked. I frowned. 'Um... Oh you mean the brown dusty box that sat by my bed? That was a prank!' I said. 'From who?' 'Stupid old James from next door,'
Your probably wondering who James is. Well, he's the idiotic boy who sleeps in the dorm next to us. He always plays funny pranks on me and Kelly. Fortunately, he DID hide a brown box in the cupboard I never told Kelly about, which was SO lucky, coz he wrote "BE TWELVE OR ELSE" on the box, and it was brown! 'Show me the box, I'll throw it back!' I remembered I put the box under the cupboard where I found it. So I got out from under the bed and opened up the doors of the cupboard and brought it out and passed it to Kelly. She looked inside and laughed. Nothing was in there. 'So, why were you under the bed?' Asked Kelly. 'I was playing with the torch.' Kelly nodded. 'Well, I'm going outside to play tag with Benny, I promised I would. Dorm's all yours, girl!' Kelly walked out the room. I stared down at the bottom of the bed...
